The Nourish Student Journey

At Nourish, we provide students with the opportunity to embark on their own journeys of running a business, engaging with community partners, making philanthropy decisions, organizing and creating social ventures, team building, communicating through conflict, and professional development. These real-world experiences provide a bridge in the education gap that equips students with understanding how to be a changemaker in their communities, and skill sets in teamwork, innovation, learning to cope with failure, and much more.

  • We work with emerging leaders in the US and Canada.

  • We nurture emerging leaders’ capacity to create a community to amplify sustainable practices and combat food insecurity.

  • We coach, train and mentor emerging leaders.

  • We nurture and build emerging leaders’ capacity through social ventures and service-learning opportunities.

As a result, our leaders develop: entrepreneurial leadership and social responsibility skills.

Our Curriculum

The Nourishing Leaders Development Program is designed to explore, strategize, and implement techniques to bolster leadership skills and strengthen interpersonal development and civic engagement.

Our model helps students build on opportunities for civic engagement in local communities while amplifying their leadership and professional skills by developing business ventures and projects that leverage their passions to bring positive social change to their local communities.

  • We infuse empathy in the design thinking model to explore the stages of design thinking and goal setting with the end user in mind. We identify the strategies necessary for successful project planning, implementation, and execution.

  • Take a deep dive into understanding and assessing your emotional intelligence and gain a greater understanding of its importance in managing behavior and relationships in the workplace.

  • We explore behavior styles utilizing the DISC model. With this awareness, we explore communication styles, practice communication shifts, and gain a greater understanding of trends to create empathetic and effective team communication.

  • Leadership development is not a destination, it is a purposeful process. In this session, we examine what makes an effective leader, and how to build trust, authenticity, and a culture of inclusion to empower others.

Our Chapters

Chapters are independently run by the college students to provide them with the autonomy to truly gain these important experiences. Nourish International provides an opportunity for students to embark on their own social impact, entrepreneurial and leadership journey by running their chapter that acts as a non-profit itself.
